This is a remarkable Beene couture creation. Made from jet black hammered silk with a removable whilte satin collar. The construction is superb, structured more like archetecture than a dress, with perfect dolman sleeves that end with tiny, hidden zippers at the wrist, and that incredible diamond insert at the small of the back. The back of the collar also has a gentle point that reflects the back detail. The dress has a long zipper down the front that can actually be worn open to the waist as shown in the 3rd photograph. To top it all off, Beene made sure there were silk lined side pockets, as well as a decent 12″ kick pleat in the back. Of course, the dress is fully lined.
