The serial number on this couture label dates this divine creation to the spring of 1985. As you see from the last photo from his runway that year, the dress has the same stunning straight line on the shoulder with the graceful pleats coming down the back and chest.
The choice of fabric is a divine silk of bleu marine (navy) with a striking satin band along the edges for a rich contrast. The lining is also blue satin… just dreamy against the skin. The color is closest to the third photo.
The dress folds over the front and closes at the waist with a series of hooks. The matching sash pulls it all together while the wide sleeves add a flash of drama.
The dress is ultra flattering and very elegant.
