This dress is a wonder. The cut is classic Valentino with the buttons down the left leg, the ruched neck and the pleats in the bodice. The print however is not at all typical of the designer that tends to stay with single colors, or simple, classical motifs. This print is anything but simple!!! It is bold, dramatic and extremely eye catching. The fabric is a light wool/silk blend. The colors are range from deep purple, to rich blue, to emerald green to forest green, they are vivid, but not obnoxiously so. As you can see, the pattern is awesomely graphic. As mentioned, the buttons up the left leg do open as high as the waist, and the skirt is lined in shiny, silky emerald fabric so if you do choose to open a few, the look will be lovely. The dress has light (removable) shoulder pads, a long back zipper and little buttons at the back of the neck. There is also a matching belt.
